- Common people would think that it very possible for computer experts to retrieve any important data that has been destroyed, yes it is possible but the task is indeed hard for them. While they have to retrieve it, they must ensure that they are also able to preserve evidential integrity. They must acquire excellent knowledge, expertise, and wide experience to be able to retrieve a totally deleted data.

- After recovering the data, they must be able to store it in a very safe place.

- They must know which data is relevant to solve the case finding it from a variety of data that they might encounter. That is why computer investigators in Chicago must have the skills which is an important factor for them to acquire. This would mean that part of their work requires them to scan a lot of emails and even instant messages and be able to select only the relevant data that will be used as an evidence.

- The evidences that they have retrieved and selected must be represented to the court. They are called for this task in order to eliminate the chances of making the evidences inadmissible especially for the skillful criminals.

The task of the computer forensics are becoming more challenging most especially because of the technology that is continuously developing.
